There are flood gates at all the entrances. There are also drainage facilities at the entrance of the driveway and the basement to prevent water from seeping into the basement.

Enclosed Cabinet / VIP Independent Cabinet
Cabinet height: the full cabinet is 58 Units (Each unit is about 4.5 cm), Width: 60 cm (23.62 inch), Depth: 100 cm (39.37 inch), each cabinet is provided with an independent door lock and division boards are provided for use. The ventilation and convection in the cabinet are well designed. The bottom and top of the cabinet are equipped with anti-vibration mounts to prevent the cabinet from moving.
VIP independent cabinets are situated in an independent block, have independent access control and customized cabinet services, and monitoring systems are provided to ensure the security of the cabinet.

Power System
The power supply are high-voltage power coming from two different substations of Taipower, and then converted for general usage through the substation system, in order to avoid power failure due to single substation failure (trip circuit breaker) to increase the reliability of the system.
The Internet data center is equipped with a dual-loop power system to avoid system blackout caused by power outage to one of the loops, in order to provide uninterrupted power to the system.
The Internet data center has an advanced power distribution system with dual independent feeding lines. The switchboard supports dual-loop power supply system to avoid system blackout caused by power outage to one of the loops, in order to provide uninterrupted power to the system.

Generator System with Ample Backup
In order to maintain the safe operation of the system and prevent blackouts caused by external factors, the Internet data center is equipped with four dedicated emergency diesel generators for emergency dispatch, with a total capacity of 6000 kW. The generator system adopts the N+1 backup design and comes with the water cooling facilities and the emergency water source as the necessary facilities for maintaining the system during blackouts and when the water is off.
During blackouts, the first line of defense is an immediate power supply by the uninterruptible power system. The diesel generators will automatically start operation within 30 seconds, ensuring that any work in progress is not interrupted. All diesel generators are equipped with exhaust systems. The exhaust gas is guided to the top floor directly and released through a 16 inch ventilation pipe. In addition to reducing emission noise, there is a soot filter system, which fully addresses any environmental concerns.
As for oil supply, the company sets up a small oil tank in B1 with a capacity of 3,500 gallons. In addition, it has a large oil tank in B3 with a capacity of 9,000 gallons, which totals to a capacity of 12,500 gallons. It can supply the data center with electricity for 37 hours. In addition to the oil supply, the company has signed a contract with CNPC, requiring them to replenish the oil supply within 4 hours of receiving a phone call.

Uninterrupted Power System
The Internet data center is equipped with dual-looped, 2N backed up and automatic rectifier filter uninterrupted power system (AVR/on Line UPS). The uninterruptible power system uses professional batteries which do not need water replenishments and are maintenance-free and uses a low voltage/ High current design to provides quality uninterrupted supply of power. The uninterrupted power supply is capable of supplying power temporarily for 30 minutes. The power source in the data center all passes through the uninterrupted power system. In addition to providing power during blackouts, it also provides a highly reliable power source with stable voltage and current to prevent the equipment from being damaged due to powers supply problems such as surges.

Air Conditioning System/Raised Floor
The air-conditioning system in the Internet data center is a box-shaped computerized air-conditioning system blowing downwards with constant temperature and humidity. The air-conditioning system has a low failure rate and high efficiency. The dual-system design is used for two-stage power control to ensure extremely precise control of constant temperature and humidity. In order to meet the requirement of the system’s operating environment, the temperature of the air conditioning system is set at 24±2 degrees and the humidity is within the reasonable range of 40%~60%. In addition, to providing air-conditioning for the data center, the air conditioning system has N+1 backup design mechanisms. If the air conditioner fails, the other set can be provided backup to avoid affecting the operation of the system due to air conditioner failures, increasing the reliability of the system.
The raised floor is set up based on the guidelines for the specification of internet data center. The distance between the raised floor and the floor is 50 cm, and the raised floor can support a weight of more than 500 kg (inclusive) per square meter. The material of the raised floor is made of reinforced aluminum alloy and diagonal supports are added at each pivot to enhance seismic resistance.

Fire System
The Internet Data Center is built using high-grade fireproof building materials and uses fireproof elevators. Internet surveillance and a fully integrated fire alarm system are arranged inside the data center, including notification to the fire department and automatic shutdown, the features are introduced respectively as follows:
The FM200 fire extinguishing system is used inside the data center. Because the data center equipment can not use the traditional fire extinguishing equipment of sprinkler or powder fire extinguisher, thus the latest technology FM200 fire extinguishing system is used. Its composition is heptafluoropropane, replacing the previous HALON system, The gas sprayed by the FM200 is an environmentally friendly product, it will not destroy the ozone layer, it is harmless to the human body and it will not have any impact on machinery and equipment. Fire extinguishing is applied within 30 seconds after the detection of a warning signal, it can quickly and effectively extinguish the fire source and prevent the disaster from spreading.
The VESDA multi-function early detection smoke alarm system is the most advanced system. The system consists of a smoke sensor tube and a laser sensor. The smoke sensor tube has holes for every 2 meters that covers an area of 8 cubic meters. The sensitivity of the laser sensor is 0.005 to 20% obs/m (Obscuration/meter), spread across each block on every floor to detect the chemical composition in the air. Once an abnormality is detected, the condition is transmitted to the Operation Center and issues a warning.

Environment Monitoring System
Temperature sensors that is activated by difference in temperature are installed in each block of the data center. The system is controlled by microcomputer which is capable of achieving constant temperature and humidity, so that the temperature and humidity in the data center are within the designated range. The overall environment monitoring system of the data center must be linked to the Network Operation Center (NOC) and integrated with the systems in the data center. All system alarms are transmitted through the sensors of the environment monitoring system and transmit all records to environment monitoring computer system. The personnel at the Network Operation Center can monitor and manage all items subject to inspection, so as to make judgements on the problems in the shortest time and quickly rush to the scene. The items subject to inspection of the environment monitoring system includes:
Temperature and humidity management of the data center.
Warning signal of FM-200 fire extinguishing system, alarm signal of the VESDA early detection smoke alarm system and fire alarm signal of the building.
Contains statistical information on overall electricity usage.
A liquid leakage detection system is installed in the data center to detect liquid leakage points and transmit information to the environment monitoring system.
When the Internet data center is invaded, an intrusion alarm is activated, and the intrusion point is recorded and processed immediately by the personnel of the data center.

External Bandwidth
All of the external bandwidth used by eASPNet is backed up by both physical circuit and logical circuit, and the international bandwidth is separated from bandwidth to Taiwan to maintain the ability to expand due to different development demands for bandwidth. The external bandwidth especially focuses on the connecting capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region, with exclusive bandwidth for China. Currently, our land-line partners include Chunghwa Telecom/Taiwan Fixed Network Co., Ltd./Asia Pacific Telecom Co., Ltd./TWIX/Sparq/KBT. Our international bandwidth industry partners include PACNet/PCCW/Reach/AT&T/Sprint, etc., the purpose is to avoid the disruption caused by failure of a single large ISP or internet exchange center, so that the chance of interruption is minimized, allowing the customer to connect to the network smoothly.
eASPNet maintains a close working relationship with the land-line companies. Apart from Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), also includes three land-line companies, Taiwan Fixed Network Co., Ltd. (TFN), Asia Pacific Telecom Co., Ltd. (APTG) and Sparq, which are capable of providing the fastest service. Having its own network is the advantages of land-line companies, the land-line companies have land-line networks all over Taiwan which is capable of satisfying customer needs and provide diverse network options for customers to choose from.
For enterprise users’ Internet or dedicated access services, the Internet data center will provide interface of the central, and connect to a layer 3 switch and connect to the client’s equipment, and at the clients’ end, the clients can choose to use their own equipment as the interface or they can rent from us on a flexible basis and our company will purchase the equipment on their behalves. In addition, should our clients have any internal special needs for which they need to set up other equipment (switch, firewall, etc.), they can handle the matter the same way as mentioned above.

Security Mechanism
In view of the increasing number of hackers on the Internet, the security protection mechanism of the Internet data center is particularly important. Therefore, this data center has set up a special security team to be responsible for the internal security audit and intrusion handling of the Internet data center. Security auditing is done based on different users, defining their usage rights according to their scope of use, and strictly defining their data access rights to ensure system security.
▪ Security Guard Management
Security guards are in charge of the security of the building 24/7. All non-staff personnel to the data center are checked and registered, and personnel in and out of the building are strictly filtered to avoid intrusion. The security guards will conduct regular patrols in the building to ensure the security of the data center. At the same time, the security systems will be connected with the security company. When problems occur, they will be rushed to the site for support at the earliest hour which enhances the security of the data center.
▪ Personnel Access Management
For visiting VIPs, they need to apply and register in advance, and staff of the data center will be sent to accompany the visiting guest to tour the data center. The guests who come to the data center to operate machinery should follow the management rules of the data center. The authorized personnel must show the authorization letter and cooperate with identity check procedures before entering the data center for maintenance work.
▪ Card Key Access Control System
The card key system is installed at the entrances and exits of the data center and the elevator. The system controls the coming and going of the personnel through card keys. The approval of the application for the card key must be done by the security team to manage the personnel with access to the data center to ensure the security of the center. Data of personnel entering and leaving the data center will be stored in the computer responsible for access control for future reference.
▪ CCTV Security Monitoring System
Fixed camera and 360 degrees rotary camera are installed in each block of the internet data center and provide surveillance for all areas of the facility, the monitoring system uses an infrared technology recording system when someone enters, the monitoring system will automatically switch to video of that location, monitoring all corners without blind spots, and the monitoring system can transmit over long distances through the internet, therefore, the images can be transmitted to the client. The surveillance videotapes recorded by the surveillance systems are kept for 90 days in accordance with the security management regulations and stored in other places for safekeeping. When an intrusion occurs, surveillance tapes can be provided to assist the investigation.
▪ Biometric Fingerprint Identification Management System
A strict biometric fingerprint identification management system is arranged in each block of the data center. This system rechecks the identity of the personnel with card keys by the fingerprint of the card holder, which can prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing the data center due to the lost of the card key. Non-staff personnel are not allowed to enter the data center, authorized personnel also need to register their fingerprints in advance and be strictly controlled to ensure the security of the data center. Each machine can register the fingerprint files of more than 4,000 people and the fingerprint files can be managed through the internet.
The network monitoring system is installed on each of the main routers and switches of the company to monitor any incoming and outgoing packets. If there is a violation of the regulations, for example, attacks by hackers which are denied of service are intercepted to protect the server and the network.

The domain firewall is used to protect the server in the company’s internal domain from being attacked. It also protects various servers that provide internet services. It works with the network monitoring system to reinforce security protection. Our customers can purchase the firewall system services according to their needs.
The data center of eASPNet is currently the only data center in Asia that has passed the TruSecure certification standard. Security controls on five levels must all meet the highest requirements to obtain the certification. This data center uses the system of TruSecure, a world-renowned security consulting company which covers items including access control, virus surveillance, system operation, firewall establishment, instant backup of data, etc., to ensure the security of clients’ data.

Network Operation Center
The Network Operation Center (NOC) is the core of the Internet Data Center. It is mainly responsible for monitoring and managing the status of various equipment of the data center connected to the network. The Network Operation Center is monitored by the professionally trained personnel and engineers 24/7 on rotation.Operating and maintenance personnel use network management and environment monitoring tools to assist surveillance in the hope of discovering the problem early. When problems occur, the data center monitoring personnel can immediately grasp the problem. The problem is promptly forwarded, and certified professional engineers solve the problem for the customers. All the problems that have occurred are registered in the system of the customer center for future reference, with the goal of achieving the normal operation of the systems.
This system is responsible for monitoring the physical connection status of components and the execution efficiency of all network equipment connected to the network. The icon of each equipment connected to the network is displayed on the screen and is distinguished by color. Through the network surveillance system, the operating and maintenance personnel can truly grasp the status of the network and the systems, and promptly report and deal with the occurring problems to ensure the normal operation of the systems.
The access control monitoring system is responsible for monitoring the status of the access control of the blocks of the data center area. The coming and going of all personnel are recorded in the surveillance server. The four 17-inch displays each on the left and right sides of a large projection screen together shows the surveillance footage of each floor. Combined with the video recording system to prevent illegal intrusion and destruction.
This system monitors the real-time status of servers and applications on the servers. The icon of each server is displayed on the screen, the status is distinguished by color, we check the efficiency and provide appropriate suggestions to our clients.
This system is responsible for monitoring the VESDA system, FM200 system, power supply system, temperature and humidity, air conditioner, liquid leakage, and the status of the windows in the data center area. Any alarms will be displayed on the intersurface, so that the on-duty personnel can quickly check the block that triggered the alarm.
