Working Together with Adaptive Computing to March into the GPU Cloud Market; Priced by Volume, to Save the Rent up to 50%

The COVID-19 has still been pandemic in Taiwan during the past two years, which accelerates business demand for cloud applications. People hope that the impact on business operations caused by the pandemic can be mitigated through greater usage of remote work and cloud computing. However, the growth scale of the cloud computing market in 2022 has slowed down, due to one of the reasons that enterprises had already implemented various cloud services last year. Jackson Wu, Chairman of eASPNet Taiwan Inc. One of the well-established cloud service providers in Taiwan pointed out that enterprises must plan for next business growth curves in new markets and services, to break through the status quo.

According to Jackson Wu, eASPNet Taiwan Inc. (hereafter referred to as “eASPNet”) began proactively planning for overseas markets two years ago, assisting international data centers and cloud services providers in introducing their own cloud platforms of GWS (Global Web Services), so that business partners no longer have to seek the cooperation of original manufacturers one by one when performing various services. eASPNet holistically handles all complicated technical settings while also providing comprehensive know-how education, training, and marketing. For example, our partner SUPERNAP (Thailand) in Bangkok has acquired Tier 4 Platinum Data Center Certification, the only one in Asia. In addition to the core business of co-location service, we also proactively develop mutual collaboration to promote GWS in the Thailand market. Currently, various cloud services have brought in profit steadily. The goal of this year is to expand this successful pattern successively to other major cities in Southeast Asia.

From AI, big data, and manufacturing transformation to the highly-popular metaverse, the market demand for high-performance computing has been increasing exponentially. However, due to the enormous investment costs for high-performance computing equipment, customers with such demands are unlikely to build the systems by themselves. Even if they adopt any hybrid cloud architecture, the costs of investments in public cloud computing remain high. For this reason, eASPNet is now entering into an agreement to collaborate with Adaptive Computing, a major company in the aspect of cloud management solutions in the U.S., to serve as its agent for marketing its HPC CLOUD ON-DEMAND DATA CENTER solutions to march into the GPU Cloud market. Through the exclusive smart computing software from Adaptive Computing, the existing clients’ cloud platforms can be priced by volume, instead of leasing. Idle running time can be identified; data can be diverted to one of the best cloud platforms in the same period; the charge will be suspended upon the automatic detection indicating that such computing has come to an end for the time being. All of these can save the monthly rent up to 50%.

To provide clients with better and more diverse services, eASPNet has expanded its U-Town Data Center in Xizhi, New Taipei City, which will be officially open in the middle of May. Furthermore, the Big Data Technology Center under Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI)proposes the “AIdea Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Platform Project” by making use of eASPNet’s GPU Cloud, which not only provides services for new AI talents in Taiwan but also connects new AI communities in Taiwan through the support of various industry-academia research by using high-performance computing systems.
