Cloud Security Becomes Increasingly Important as We Embrace the 5G Era
Cloud Platform Soon to Play a Key Role in Integration

As 5G technology matures, the diversified demand for IoT applications is expected to raise. For example, in manufacturing plants, AIoT can be utilized as the core concept to achieve smart production, quality control, transportation, energy control, and warehousing management, etc. The whole process is participated to be more intelligent, accelerating the realization of Industry 4.0 goals.

Tom Huang, senior technical consultant of eASPNet, stated that with everything being connected to the internet, an increasing number of people will search for services online through different devices. This will motivate service providers in providing their customers with more flexible network bandwidths, computing resources, and data space, and further force enterprises migrate their infrastructure, platform systems, and business applications to the cloud in order to facilitate stable operations.

As the number of connected devices, as well as the amount of data and user information continue to rise, so does the risk of information security breaches. Therefore, it is the service providers’ responsibility to strengthen cloud security. eASPNet is committed to becoming an expert provider of cloud services and is dedicated providing one-stop solutions to any IT problems enterprises may have advanced technology, information security protection, and reputable 24 hour service. We are always there to help enterprises keep up with digital transformation trends.

Tom Huang applauds the many advantages offered by eASPNet’s cloud data center. First, is its ability to connect interface with all domestic telecommunications companies with 100% 5G coverage. Secondly, is interfaced with international telecommunications and submarine cable companies, providing a smooth connection to the global network. Also, the three public cloud platforms are connected in series with a dedicated line to help enterprises establish a safe and secure hybrid cloud environment.

One cannot deny that certain users are still concerned about the difficulties of transferring data from the clouds back to local devices once public cloud services are adopted. For this reason, eASPNet and VMware have undergone technical cooperation to create Taiwan’s first local hybrid cloud, i.e.eASPNet’s “GWS Hybrid Cloud”, allowing data from users’ systems to be transferred seamlessly between local machines and the cloud.

eASPNet has established cloud data centers in both domestic and foreign cities, including Taipei, Kaohsiung, Beijing, Guangzhou, Johor Bahru (Malaysia), Bangkok, Amsterdam, Moscow, New York, Lima (Peru), and Fortaleza (Brazil). In addition, it plans to install three new cloud data centers in Los Angeles, Marseille (France), and Yangon (Myanmar) in 2021.

It is worth mentioning that eASPNet makes full use of VMware SDDC software-defined data center technology to optimize its GWStack all-in-one solution, which becomes a key component of local hybrid cloud services. Relying on VMware vSAN Ready Nodehyper-converged system architecture, GWStack not only preloads VMware’s vSphere and vSAN, but also VMware’s NSX, vRealize Operations;as well as eASPNet’s eASPNet Monitor Operation (e-MO) and other important software components. GWStack also supports the All Flash storage architecture, which is suitable for enterprise cloud, desktop cloud, multi-cloud serial connection, data analysis, and edge computing applications.

Moreover, Tom Huang introduced the GWS hybrid cloud security solution from two perspectives: Basic protection and value-added services. For basic protection, eASPNet provides data encryption protection for vSAN HCI, Storage, and backup. In addition, the firewall, IPSec VPN, and load balancing functions are provided through NSX. The connections among VMs are protected through NSX micro-segmentation firewalls. As for value-added services, these include website vulnerability scanning, website system performance testing, penetration testing, and source code detection.

eASPNet GWStack is preloaded with MDR, which monitors the abnormality of users VM and network. Combining the MDR service with back-end AI-based risk analysis, the possible hidden attack trajectories can be detected to ensure the safety of the data of the enterprises in undergoing digital transformation.

Tom Huang, senior technical consultant of eASPNet pointed out that eASPNet’s “GWS Hybrid Cloud” allows smooth transfer of users’ system data between the local devices and the cloud.
